The Scarborough Community Council:

1. Received the presentation from the Agincourt Community Services Association for information.

The Executive Director, Agincourt Community Services Association gave a presentation.

Over the past 50 years Agincourt Community Services Association (ACSA) has grown exponentially, from serving only the geographic boundary once referred to as Agincourt to now serving all of Scarborough, parts of North York and most recently we’ve expanded into York Region, we’re operating 7 locations throughout Scarborough and have multiple satellite sites in local schools, libraries, community centres and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) buildings.

As a multi service Agency our work with Scarborough residents takes a holistic, client centered approach and always with the goal of helping individuals and families thrive and become engaged members of our community participating fully in all areas of civic society.

Agincourt Community Services Association’s work includes working with Scarborough’s homeless population, housing and eviction prevention programs, Agincourt Community Services Association’s Housing Hub, and has an ongoing partnership with Inner City Health Associates. It’s been 18 months since the expansion of our Food Centre and Agincourt Community Services Association’s Dorset Park hub is an excellent example of how Agincourt Community Services Association leads this dynamic community asset with 9 community partners all working together to serve Scarborough residents get the services they need in a one stop shop. Child and Family Services, Youth and Senior services and programs, After-school programs throughout Scarborough offering children a safe place to be with caring and consistent adults enabling parents to work. This is just the tip of the iceberg, there’s so much more to Agincourt Community Services Association and always nimble, and able to respond to the changing needs of our communities.  

Rooted in Scarborough with trusted relationships in communities, Agincourt Community Services Association proudly celebrates its 50 years of service and we want to spend 2024 celebrating our work and welcoming those residents, stakeholders, community partners and elected officials inside to see and hear about Agincourt Community Services Association, and how we have embedded ourselves into the social fabric of Scarborough offering a hand up to those who need it for over 50 years!
