Community Council Decision
The Scarborough Community Council:
1. Requested Toronto Fire services to relocate the marked fire route located behind 3855-3863 Lawrence Avenue East, to a more appropriate location.

The plaza owner of 3855-3863 Lawrence Avenue East has raised concerns regarding the fire route situated directly behind their plaza. Advising that the fire route is unnecessary and has expressed interest in the possibility of its removal.
The attached map illustrates the specific fire route in question, which leads into the parking lot of a TCHC site located at 3847 Lawrence Avenue East. It is important to note that this TCHC site is always secured by a locked gate, effectively preventing access to the building site via this fire route.
There are multiple alternative entry points to the TCHC site, rendering the fire route in question redundant. The removal of this fire route would not compromise safety. I kindly request that the fire route be relocated to one of the existing points of entry.
