Community Council Decision
The Etobicoke York Community Council:
1. Re-opened Item EY14.7, titled “94 Cowley Avenue - Request for a Fence Exemption to the Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 447”.
2. Deleted its decision on Item EY14.7 and adopted the following:
1. The Etobicoke York Community Council granted the application for a fence exemption permit (with or without conditions) to the property owner of 94 Cowley Avenue, thereby allowing the installation of a vinyl fence on the north and east sides of the rear yard. Also, directed and required the rear yard fences be maintained in good repair without alteration. At such time as replacement of the fence is required, the installation will comply with Municipal Code Chapter 447, Fences, or its successor by-law.
Origin
Summary
At its June 3, 2024 meeting, the Etobicoke York Community Council granted the application for a fence exemption permit to the property owner of 94 Cowley Avenue, however the description of the location of the fence was incorrectly listed in the staff report dated May 6, 2024, from the District Manager, Municipal Licensing and Standards, West District. As such, it is necessary for the Etobicoke York Community Council to re-open the item in order to accurately describe the location of the fence by changing “north and west sides of the rear yard” to “north and east sides of the rear yard”.
