The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place:

1.  Applauded and extended congratulations to Ms. Jennifer Foster for her outstanding efforts and dedication to continue to promote Exhibition Place in all award submissions.

Exhibition Place employee recognized by the Board for outstanding accomplishments:

1.  Annually Exhibition Place submits applications for appropriate venue and exhibition industry award programs to both recognize, promote and communicate the incredible achievements and success stories of Exhibition Place. The application process involves intense research to fulfil the submission requirements, gathering and development all of the material, while continuing to look for creative ways to promote and recognize Exhibition Place in both North America and internationally. Although multiple departments may contribute to providing information, it is through the ongoing efforts of one staff member, Jennifer Foster, Administrative Assistant to the General Manager, who researches and writes all award submissions. Over the past 4 years alone, Exhibition Place has been formally recognized with 11 different industry awards and accreditations.   

2.  In 2024, the International Association of Venue Mangers (IAVM) selected Exhibition Place | Enercare Centre | Beanfield Centre as a recipient of their 2024 Venue Excellence Award. This award recognizes five IAVM venues of any type within the membership which demonstrate excellence in the management and operation of public assembly venues. Criteria and scoring of the Venue Excellence Awards reflects IAVM’s six Value Statements: integrity, service, safety, education, advocacy and people first. Scoring of the Venue Excellence Award applications is performed by a review committee of peers, with final approval by the IAVM Board of Directors, which voted unanimously in favour of Exhibition Place’s application. Gilles Bouchard, Andrew Landrigan, and Emma Miziolek who attended the IAVM Conference in Portland in August, received the award on behalf of Exhibition Place. Earlier this year Exhibition Place also received the Best Convention Centre award, from Exhibitor Magazine, an award juried by exhibitors from across North America recognizing exhibitor-friendly venues that consistently exceed expectations.

3.  The time, effort, creativity, and dedication by Jennifer Foster, Administrative Assistant to the General Manager, has been outstanding and continues to keep Exhibition Place in the news.
