The Dangerous Dog Review Tribunal:

1. Amended Rule 21 of the Dangerous Dog Review Tribunal Rules of Procedure by deleting the existing Rule 21 and replacing it with the content in Attachment 1 to the report (September 3, 2024) from the City Clerk.

2. Adopted the Request for Reconsideration and Response to Request for Reconsideration forms contained in Attachments 2 and 3 to the report (September 3, 2024) from the City Clerk, subject to any minor amendments the City Clerk may make in consultation with the City Solicitor for clarity and operational feasibility.

The purpose of this report is to recommend amendments to the Rules of Procedure for the Dangerous Dog Review Tribunal.

The proposed amendments update the Tribunal's hearing reconsideration processes, including making the process and grounds for granting a reconsideration clearer and clarifying what the role of the chair and other members are throughout the review process.
