City Council Decision
City Council on October 9 and 10, 2024, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint Alex Mihailildis and Hannah Clarke-Andrews to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on November 14, 2026, and until successors are appointed.
2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 and Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (September 13, 2024) from the Chief People Officer in their entirety remain confidential as they relate to personal information about identifiable individuals who are being considered for appointment to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee.
The balance Confidential Attachment 1 and Confidential Attachment 2 to the report (September 13, 2024) from the Chief People Officer remain confidential in their entirety in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as they relate to personal information about identifiable individuals who are being considered for appointment to the Toronto Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Alex Mihailidis
Dr. Mihailidis, Professor at the University of Toronto and Scientific Director of AGE-WELL, is a renowned expert in technology for older adults. With 24 years of research, over 250 publications, and cross-appointments in Occupational Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Computer Science at the University of Toronto, he brings a multidisciplinary approach. As a Fellow of the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America and the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, he is dedicated to transforming the world for older generations, recognized by the United Nations in 2022 as a Healthy Ageing 50-50 leader.
Hannah Clarke-Andrews
Hannah Clarke-Andrews holds a degree in Political Science and English Literature from McGill University. Hannah has over a decade of experience working with people with disabilities, during which she has directed adapted recreational programming for the City of Toronto, volunteered as a community support worker, and led accessibility initiatives as an elected student representative.
