City Council Decision
City Council on December 13, 14 and 15, 2023, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct, despite the provisions of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 918, Parking on Residential Front Yards and Boulevards, and City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 190, Polling and Notification, that the poll FYP 2023-028 open between May 23, 2023 and June 21, 2023 conducted in relation to the application for front yard parking at 26 Maclean Avenue be disregarded and set aside and a new poll for the front yard parking application be conducted in accordance with the relevant Code Chapter(s).

Community Council Recommendations
The Toronto and East York Community Council recommends that:
1. City Council direct, despite the provisions of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 918, Parking on Residential Front Yards and Boulevards, and City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 190, Polling and Notification, that the poll FYP 2023-028 open between May 23, 2023 and June 21, 2023 conducted in relation to the application for front yard parking at 26 Maclean Avenue be disregarded and set aside and a new poll for the front yard parking application be conducted in accordance with the relevant Code Chapter(s).

Summary
The purpose of this motion is to request that Transportation Services put aside poll FYP 2023-028 open between May 23, 2023 and June 21, 2023 to allow a new poll to be conducted. This motion was brought forward at the request of local residents in response to unique circumstances whereby the poll met the response threshold but did not achieve the 50% plus one in favour, despite there having been more responses in favour than opposed. Additionally, one ballot was returned by a deceased individual.
