Summary

This past summer, a terrible collision at Oakwood Avenue and Holland Park Avenue resulted in life-threatening injuries for a pedestrian crossing Holland Park Avenue. This incident had a significant impact on students, nearby residents, and business owners in Oakwood Village. There is a need for immediate changes to ensure this area is safer for our residents.

In conversations with the Holland Park Traffic Management Committee, our office heard concerns regarding speeding vehicles along Holland Park. A community poll was conducted for traffic calming measures, and residents overwhelmingly supported the installation of speed humps on Holland Park Avenue, from Oakwood Avenue to Winona Drive.

I respectfully request your support on the following recommendations.
