Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Prohibited standing at all times on the south side of Front Street East, between George Street South and a point 30.5 metres east.
2. Prohibited standing at all times on the north side of Front Street East, between George Street and a point 30.5 metres east.
3. Rescinded the existing parking machines on the south side of Front Street East, between Lower Jarvis Street and Lower Sherbourne Street, in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday; and from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, for a maximum period of three hours and at a rate of $3.00 per hour.
4. Authorized the installation of parking machines on the south side of Front Street East, between Lower Jarvis Street and George Street South, to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday; and from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, for a maximum period of three hours and at a rate of $3.00 per hour.
5. Summary
Earlier this year, my office undertook a comprehensive review of parking regulations in collaboration with the community. Through this participatory process, it was revealed that members of the community have expressed a strong desire for the implementation of parking regulation changes along this section of Front Street.
