Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing yield control on Durant Avenue at the intersection with Judith Drive.

2. Authorized a compulsory stop control for northbound traffic on Durant Avenue at Judith Drive.

Origin

(January 19, 2023) Letter from Councillor Paula Fletcher

Summary

Durant Avenue and Judith Drive are two local roads located in a residential neighbourhood immediately south of O'Connor Drive. This intersection currently has a yield control in place. I have heard from residents who are concerned about traffic safety and have requested that the existing yield sign be changed to a stop sign.

The installation of a stop sign at this intersection will improve traffic safety on Durant Avenue and Judith Drive. I hope you will support this recommendation.
