The Property Standards Committee, North York Panel:

1. Elected Robert Ruggiero as the Panel Chair for a term of office expiring October 26, 2026, and until a successor is elected.

The Clerk called for nominations for the Chair, Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

There were two nominations for the Chair, Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

Afsana Gibson-Chowdhury nominated Robert Ruggiero.

The Clerk called for nominations a second time.

Robert Ruggiero nominated Afsana Gibson-Chowdhury.

Nadini Sankar-Peralta nominated Kevin King, who declined the nomination.

The Clerk called for nominations a third and final time.

There being no further nominations, the Clerk closed the nominations.

Robert Ruggiero and Afsana Gibson-Chowdhury each spoke to the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

The Clerk instructed the Members on the balloting process.

The Clerk distributed the ballots to the Members of the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

The Clerk advised that the majority of 3 votes had not been reached, so a second round of balloting would be required. 

Afsana Gibson-Chowdhury withdrew her name as a candidate for the appointment of the Chair, Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

The Clerk declared Robert Ruggiero as the Chair, Property Standards Committee, North York Panel.

Robert Ruggiero assumed the Chair.

Election of the Chair for the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel under Municipal Code Chapter 27, Council Procedures, Appendix AII, for the appointed Term of Office ending October 26, 2026, and until a successor is appointed.
