Community Council Decision

The Scarborough Community Council:

1. Requested the appropriate City staff to report on plans to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Scarborough Civic Centre. The plan will include but not limited to ways in which the public can participate in the festivities, spend time exploring the building’s history and memorable moments of the history of the building that defines Scarborough.

Summary

The Scarborough Civic Centre was built 50 years ago and is the centrepiece of Scarborough’s architecture and social life. I am asking staff to put together a plan to celebrate the Scarborough Civic Centre and its importance to our community.
