Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:

 

Members, the City Clerk has advised me that earlier today Councillor Holyday submitted his resignation as Deputy Speaker. 

 

Members we should take action during this meeting to fill the vacancy. 

 

I propose that after we have completed the two items before us today, I will call for nominations for the office of Deputy Speaker, before we begin our closing routines.  

 

This is a procedural matter unrelated to the Striking Committee matter and does not require a motion without notice to add to the agenda, and it is not inconsistent with the purpose of the meeting.
