The Planning and Housing Committee:

1. Requested the Chief Planner and Executive Director of City Planning to report to the September 28, 2023 meeting of the Planning and Housing Committee on the results of the market analysis for Mount Dennis (as directed by City Council on November 9, 2021 Item PH28.1) and include in the report a process to provide for the necessary Inclusionary Zoning and Official Plan Amendments to assist in achieving additional affordable housing within the Mount Dennis community.

Summary

On October 28, 2021 at the Planning & Housing meeting I passed a motion requesting that the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning to undertake additional market analysis in the area around both the Mount Dennis area and the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West area. This was to determine if there are additional areas that should be added to the Inclusionary Zoning Map of the Official Plan policy, and report back no later than June 2022. This report date was missed and no report has been submitted.
