North York Community Council:

1.  Rescinded the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation, daily on the south side of Vanley Crescent, between a point 92 metres east of Chesswood Drive (south intersection) and a point 170 metres south of Chesswood Drive (north intersection).

2.  Prohibited stopping at all times, Monday to Friday on the south, east and north sides of Vanley Crescent between a point 50 metres east of Chesswood Drive (south intersection) and Chesswood Drive (north intersection) .

3.  Prohibited stopping at all times, Monday to Friday on the south and west sides of Vanley Crescent between a point 130 metres east of Chesswood Drive (north intersection) and a point 160 metres further south.

4.  Amended the existing parking prohibition, in effect at all times, on the north, west and south sides of Vanley Crescent, between Chesswood Drive (south intersection) and Chesswood Drive (north intersection) be in effect between Chesswood Drive (south intersection) and a point 295 metres north and between Chesswood Drive (north intersection) and a point 130 metres east.

5.  Prohibited parking at all times, Saturday and Sunday on the south and west sides of Vanley Crescent between a point 130 metres east of Chesswood Drive (north intersection) and a point 160 metres further south.

6.  Amended the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the east side of Vanley Crescent between Chesswood Drive (north intersection) and a point 170 metres south, be in effect Saturday and Sunday.

7.  Amended the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Vanley Crescent between a point 50 metres east of Chesswood Drive (south intersection) and a point 40 metres east, be in effect Saturday and Sunday.

For the past few years, our office has been attempting to resolve an issue that centres on excessive on-street parking along Vanley Crescent that has been causing significant disruptions to both businesses and the Dufferin Transfer Station at 35 Vanley Crescent. Based upon further observation during a site visit that was attended by myself, my Infrastructure and Transportation Advisor Robert Ong, the Toronto Police Service's Parking Enforcement Unit, staff from both Transportation Services and the aforementioned transfer station and several business owners, Transportation Services staff have made the following recommendations to amend the current on-street parking regulations along Vanley Crescent. These recommendations will be kindly provided below.
