Community Council Decision
North York Community Council:
1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, on the north side of The Bridle Path, between Bayview Avenue and a point 565 metres east.
2. Approved a stopping prohibition in effect at all times on the north side of The Bridle Path, between Bayview Avenue and a point 565 metres east.
3. Approved a stopping prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of The Bridle Path, between Bayview Avenue and a point 57 metres east.
Origin
Summary
Residents of The Bridle Path are requesting that stopping be prohibited at all times on the north side of the street. This change will address the high volume of parked vehicles on both sides of the street resulting in narrow driving conditions. Transportation Services recommends an additional stopping prohibition on the south side of the street near Bayview Avenue to improve traffic flow and safety at the intersection.
Therefore, in order to expedite the sign changes, I am requesting that the proposed stopping prohibitions be approved. City staff are in support and have worked with my office on these recommendations.
