North York Community Council:

1. Designated on-street electric vehicle charging station parking areas at the following locations: 

a.  Elmhurst Avenue, south side, from a point 66.3 metres east of Beecroft Road and a point 12 metres further east (2 spaces);

b.  Glendora Avenue, north side, from a point 22.1 metres east of Yonge Street and a point 12 metres further east (2 spaces); and

c.  Glendora Avenue, north side, from a point 24.1 metres west of Bates Avenue and a point 12 metres further west (2 spaces);

for the exclusive use of electric vehicles and amend City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 910, Parking Machines and Meters and Chapter 950, Traffic and Parking, as described in Attachment 2 to the report (June 6, 2023) from the Director, Policy and Innovation, Transportation Services.

2. Requested the General Manager, Transportation Services and the Director, Policy and Innovation to explore the possibility of providing overnight permit parking for Electric Vehicle chargers in Willowdale.

This report outlines the parking by-law amendments required to implement the parking areas for three (3) Electric Vehicle charging station locations, for the roll out of six (6) Electric Vehicle charging stations for which this Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision. These locations have been reviewed and supported by the local Councillor.
