Community Council Decision

North York Community Council:

 

1. Rescinded the existing stopping prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Greenfield Avenue, between Yonge Street and a point 87 metres east of Yonge Street.

 

2. Prohibited stopping at all times on the south side of Greenfield Avenue between Yonge Street to a point 20 metres east of Yonge Street and between a point 62 metres east of Yonge Street and a point 73 metres further east.

 

3. Amended the existing parking machine regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday for a maximum period of three hours and at a rate of $4.00 per hour on the south side of Greenfield Avenue between a point 80 metres east of Yonge Street and a point 37.5 metres west of Doris Avenue, to be in effect between a point 20 metres east of Yonge Street to a point 42 metres further east and between a point 135 metres east of Yonge Street and a point 37.5 metres west of Doris Avenue.

 

4. Amended the existing stopping prohibition in effect at all times on the south side of Greenfield Avenue between Doris Avenue and a point 30.5 metres west to be in effect between Doris Avenue and a point 32 metres west.

 

5. Rescinded the existing school bus loading zone in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the north side of Greenfield Avenue between a point 57 metres west of Doris Avenue and a point 51 metres west thereof.

 

6. Rescinded the existing standing prohibition in effect at all times on the north side of Greenfield Avenue between a point 36.5 metres east of Yonge Street and a point 50 metres east of Yonge Street.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending changes to the parking regulations on Greenfield Avenue, between Yonge Street and Doris Avenue to reflect changes in the field with the newly constructed mid-block pedestrian crossover located approximately 120 metres west of Doris Avenue. Pay and Display parking and No Stopping regulations on both sides of the street need to be amended as per conditions of approval for the development at 4841 to 4881 Yonge Street, 2 and 50 Sheppard Avenue East, and 2, 4 and 6 Forest Laneway.
