City Council Decision
City Council on July 19 and 20, 2023, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the General Manager, Transportation Services to waive any additional fees associated with temporary traffic control adjustments outside the footprint of the Just for Laughs Street Festival.
2. City Council request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to track Council-approved fee waivers to community events as grants in-kind, and to report on them through the open data portals under the grants data section, and in future reports concerning grants to City Council where relevant.

That Councillor Chris Moise be permitted to add to the agenda of today's meeting an urgent Motion without Notice concerning:
Accommodating the 2023 Just for Laughs Street Festival
Reason for Urgency:
This matter is time sensitive and urgent as City Council approval is required to waive the fees that would otherwise be required under the City of Toronto Municipal Code, and its next regular meeting in October is not until after Just for Laughs’ event this year.
That:
1. City Council request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to track Council approved fee waivers to community events as grants in-kind, and to report on them through the open data portal portals under the grants data section, and in future reports concerning grants to City Council where relevant.
