City Council Decision
City Council on May 10, 11 and 12, 2023, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the Chief Procurement Officer, in consultation with the Director, Indigenous Affairs Office and the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, to co-develop an Indigenous Procurement Strategy with Indigenous businesses and communities and present to City Council on progress towards developing the Strategy no later than the third quarter of 2024.

On April 29, 2026, the decision was corrected to reflect the recommendation in the revised Member Motion posted on May 10, 2023, that was adopted by City Council.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM6.23 be referred to the General Government Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
