1. City Council authorize the General Manager, Fleet Services to donate three vehicles at no cost to the Ukrainian government for humanitarian purposes.

Motion to Adopt Item (Carried)

Point of Order by Councillor Gord Perks

Councillor Perks, rising on a Point of Order, stated that the title of the item and recommendations say two different things: one suggests that Council is supporting a war effort and the other suggest that Council is supporting a humanitarian effort, and that he would like to know if Council could amend the title to reflect what the motion actually says, and change the title to read "Donation of vehicles to support the Ukrainian Government's Humanitarian Effort."

Speaker Nunziata accepted the Point of Order and ruled that the City Clerk will make the necessary amendments to the item title.

Motion to Waive Referral (Carried)

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM5.37 be referred to the Executive Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
