City Council Decision
City Council on December 14 and 15, 2022, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, in consultation with the local Councillor, to designate a temporary off-leash area located at the east side of the existing off-leash area that is currently undergoing capital improvements at Greenwood Park for use Monday to Sunday until March 31, 2023 with hours to be set by the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, in consultation with the local Councillor, and to install signage advising that commercial dog walkers are not permitted and install snow fencing, to ensure that the area is separated from other park uses.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM2.9 be referred to the Toronto and East York Community Council. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
