City Council Decision
City Council on December 13, 14 and 15, 2023, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the City Manager to request Metrolinx to immediately work with City of Toronto staff on safety options that may be implemented quickly to stop whistles at the Manse Road crossing as soon as possible.
2. If such measures cannot be implemented quickly and in advance of the holidays, City Council direct the City Manager to request Metrolinx to post a safety worker at the Manse Road at-grade rail crossing to stop the whistles.
3. City Council delegate all necessary authorities to the City Manager to approve and implement safety measures requested by Metrolinx for their at-grade crossing on Manse Road as quickly as possible.
