The General Government Committee:

1. Granted authority to the General Manager, Solid Waste Management Services to amend Blanket Contract Number 47022995 by increasing the total Blanket Contract value by $685,000 net of all taxes and charges ($697,056 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) revising the blanket contract value from $376,565 ($383,193 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) to $1,061,565 net of all applicable taxes and charges ($1,080,249 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries).

2. Granted authority to the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Management to amend Blanket Contract Number 47023001 by increasing the total Blanket Contract value by of $216,940 net of all taxes and charges ($220,758 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) revising the Blanket Contract value from $619,300 ($630,199 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) to $836,240 net of all applicable taxes and charges ($850,958 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries).

The purpose of this report is to request authority to amend Blanket Contracts 47022995 for Solid Waste Management Services and 47023001 for Corporate Real Estate Management with Acklands-Grainger Incorporated for the Supply and Delivery of Various Industrial Supplies, Equipment and Services awarded under Request for Proposal Ariba Document Number 2056216916. This amendment to the Blanket Contracts is required for Solid Waste Management Services to address an increase in its operational needs, enable critical replacement of mechanical equipment at Solid Waste Management Services facilities, and support future capital and operational needs. The amendment is needed for Corporate Real Estate Management to address unplanned purchases to outfit its Fire Life Safety unit, and an increase in its operational needs.

Solid Waste Management Services total amendment required for Blanket Contract number 47022995  is $685,000 net of all taxes and charges ($697,056 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries), revising the current Blanket Contract value from $376,565 to $1,061,565 net of all taxes and charges ($1,080,249 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries).

Corporate Real Estate Management total amendment required for Blanket Contract Number 47023001 is $216,940 net of all taxes and charges ($220,758 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries), revising the current blanket contract value from $619,300 to $836,240 net of all taxes and charges ($850,958 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries).

With the requested authority to further amend Solid Waste Management Services Blanket Contract Number 47022995 and Corporate Real Estate Management Blanket Contract Number 47023001 the total accumulative amendment value for this Request for Proposal has reached $1,395,702 net of all taxes and charges, the total Blanket Contracts value for this Request for Proposal Ariba Document Number 2056216916 would increase from $12,575,213 to $13,477,153net of all taxes and charges ($13,714,351 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries). 

General Government Committee approval is required in accordance with the Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 71, Financial Control, Section 71-11.1, where the current request exceeds the threshold of $500,000 net of all taxes and charges.
