The Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. Prohibited stopping from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the east side of Chalkfarm Drive, between Gravenhurst Avenue and Heavitree Drive/Neames Crescent.

2. Rescinded the existing School Bus Loading in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the west side of Chalkfarm Drive, between a point 30.5 metres south of Gravenhurst Avenue and a point 30 metres south thereof.

3. Rescinded the existing stopping prohibition in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the west side of Chalkfarm Drive between, Gravenhurst Avenue and a point 128.2 metres south of Gravenhurst Avenue

4. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the west side of Chalkfarm Drive, between Gravenhurst Avenue and a point 45 metres north of Heavitree Drive/Neames Crescent.

5. Prohibited northbound U-turn movements at all times on Chalkfarm Drive, between Gravenhurst Avenue and Heavitree Drive/Neames Crescent.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

Transportation Services is recommending numerous amendments to the parking regulations on Chalkfarm Drive, in the area of Chalkfarm Pubic School. The proposed amendments will provide an area for short term parking for parents/guardians to accompany students to/from the school and improve safety/reduce congestion in the area by prohibiting stopping opposite the school. In addition, it is recommended that northbound "U" turns be prohibited in the area of the school.
