The Etobicoke York Community Council:

1.  Prohibited stopping from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the south side of Gulfstream Road, between Indrio Road and a point 85 metres west.

2. Amended the existing stopping prohibition in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Gulfstream Road, between a point 76.3 metres east of St. Lucie Drive and a point 259.3 metres east of St. Lucie Drive, to be in effect from a point 38 metres west of Indrio Road and a point 129.3 metres east.

3. Rescinded the existing School Bus Loading in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the north side of Gulfstream Road, between a point opposite the west limit of Indrio Road and a point 61 metres west thereof.

4. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Gulfstream Road, between a point 38 metres west of Indrio Road and a point 65 metres further west.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

Transportation Services is recommending numerous amendments to the parking regulations on Gulfstream Road, in the area of Gulfstream Pubic School. The proposed amendments will provide an area for short term parking for parents/guardians to accompany students to/from the school and improve safety/reduce congestion in the area by prohibiting stopping opposite the school.
