Community Council Decision

The Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. In accordance with the City's Public Appointments Policy, appointed the following nominees to the Business Improvement Area Boards of Management set out below at the pleasure of Etobicoke York Community Council, and for a term expiring at the end of the term of Council or as soon thereafter as successors are appointed:

Emery Village:

Gaglia, Jessica

Montinaro, Joseph

Mothersill, Keresha

Serebryany, Carmela

Tersigni, Anthony

Mimico Village:

Farrell, Kelly

Giovenco, Domenic

2. Directed that Schedule A of the Municipal Code Chapter 19, Business Improvement Areas, be amended by changing the number of directors of the following Boards of Management:

Emery Village 7 (6 elected and 1 Councillor)

3. Directed the members of the Emery Village BIA to hold a meeting to elect or select other candidates for consideration by the Etobicoke York Community Council.

Summary

Etobicoke York Community Council has delegated authority to appoint and remove directors from the boards of Businesses Improvement Areas (BIAs) that fall within its geographic boundaries.

The purpose of this report is to appoint directors to the Boards of Management of four (4) Business Improvement Areas that fall within the Etobicoke York Community Council boundaries for the new term of Council.

Motions

1 - Motion to Amend Item (Additional) moved by Councillor Anthony Perruzza (Carried)

That:

1. Recommendation 1 be amended by deleting the following names from the Emery Village BIA Board of Management:

- Silvio Carnovale

- Tony D'Aversa

- Harbhajan Dhillon

- Tim Lambrinos

- Paolo Ricci

- Ralph Shepherd

2. Recommendation 2 be amended to direct that Schedule A of the Municipal Code Chapter 19, Business Improvement Areas, be amended by changing the number of directors of the following Boards of Management:
