Summary
This report provides information on the status of the Exhibition Place health and safety system, specifically on activities, priorities, and performance during the second quarter of 2023.
There were zero (0) lost time injuries and three (3) medical aid injuries in the second quarter of 2023 relative to four (4) medical aid injuries in the second quarter of 2022. During the second quarter of 2023 there were successful denials of three (3) WSIB claims.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) invoiced costs for the second quarter of 2023 were approximately 49 percent higher than those in the second quarter of 2022. This is mainly attributable to an increase in Long Term Disability costs and an increase in overall WSIB claim costs.
