City Council Decision

City Council on July 19 and 20, 2023, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council rescind the appointments of Councillor Brad Bradford, Councillor Gary Crawford, Councillor Frances Nunziata and Councillor James Pasternak to the Striking Committee and appoint in their place the following Members for a term of office ending on December 31, 2024 or until successors are appointed:

 

a.    Deputy Mayor Jennifer McKelvie;

b.    Councillor Gord Perks; and

c.    Councillor Shelley Carroll;

 

having regard that Mayor Olivia Chow has appointed Councillor Ausma Malik as Chair and Councillor Alejandra Bravo as Vice Chair.

 

2. City Council direct the City Clerk to canvass Members of Council for their interest in appointment or reappointment to Council committees, local boards, City corporations and external agencies and to report to a special meeting of the Striking Committee to be called for the purpose of recommending a new slate of appointments for Council consideration.
