City Council Decision

City Council on June 14 and 15, 2023, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Transit Commission Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on June 16, 2027, and until successors are appointed:

2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the report (May 11, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission Board.

 

The balance of Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the report (May 11, 2023) from the City Clerk remains confidential in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Transit Commission Board.

Fenton Jagdeo

 

Fenton Jagdeo is a civic leader, board director, speaker and investor. He leads a boutique Strategy Consulting firm working on complex problems across the globe, and is a seasoned Consumer-Packaged Goods/Direct-To-Consumer startup brand executive. He has sat on the Board of the Toronto Public Library, leading the Strategy Planning Committee, and is a Commissioner sitting on the Board of the Toronto Transit Commission. He is a professor at Ontario College of Art and Design University, where he teaches Strategy Development. He holds an Honours Business Administration from Ivey Business School.

 

Julie Osborne

 

Julie Osborne is an experienced senior media executive. She led some of Canada’s best-known media brands including Maclean’s, Hello! and Canadian Business and was the first woman in the over 100 year history of Maclean's to hold the position of Publisher. She has served on the boards of the Writers' Trust of Canada, Magazines Canada, Canadian Women in Communications and the Tarragon Theatre. She is trilingual and has an MBA from Ivey.
