City Council Decision

City Council on May 10, 11 and 12, 2023, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council appoint the following candidate to the Toronto Investment Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on May 12, 2027, and until a successor is appointed:

 

Terry Carr

 

2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 and Confidential Attachments 2 and 3 to the report (April 5, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Investment Board.

 

The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 and Confidential Attachments 2 to 3 to the report (April 5, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Investment Board.

Terry Carr has had the privilege and honour to work in the investment industry in a leadership role for almost four decades. His professional background was focused on capital markets, specifically, in fixed income portfolio management. He is intimately familiar with the City's borrowing needs, as a former Canadian Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer, with Manulife Investment Management.
