City Council Decision
City Council on February 7 and 8, 2023, adopted the following:
1. City Council nominate the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk for consideration by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority for appointment to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board for a three-year term commencing May 3, 2023.
2. City Council authorize the public release of the name and biography of the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk should the candidate be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors.
3. Should the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors, City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about an identifiable individual being considered for nomination to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board of Directors.
4. Should the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk not be appointed by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority to its Board of Directors, City Council direct that Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk remain confidential in its entirety as it relates to personal matters about an identifiable individual being considered for nomination to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board of Directors.
City Council Decision Advice and Other Information
During the review of the Order Paper on February 7, 2023, City Council adopted a procedural motion to remove this Item from the jurisdiction of the Civic Appointments Committee and bring it forward for consideration by City Council.

Committee Recommendations
The Civic Appointments Committee recommends that:
1. City Council nominate the candidate listed in Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (January 18, 2023) from the City Clerk for consideration by the Greater Toronto Airports Authority for appointment to the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Board for a three-year term commencing May 3, 2023.
