Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway to install six speed humps on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East, for traffic calming purposes, generally as shown on Attachment 2, and Attachment 3, Drawing No. 421G-4061 & 421G-4060 dated June 2022, attached to the report (June 13, 2022) from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

Transportation Services has reviewed the need for traffic calming (speed humps) on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East. The assessment indicates the warrant criteria as set out in the City of Toronto's Traffic Calming Policy has not been satisfied. Therefore, staff do not recommend the installation of speed humps on Boston Avenue.

Motions
That the Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Waive the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East; and
a. authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East.
b. direct the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway to install six speed humps on Boston Avenue, between Dundas Street East and Queen Street East, for traffic calming purposes, generally as shown on Attachment 2, and Attachment 3, Drawing No. 421G-4061 & 421G-4060 dated June 2022, attached to the report entitled "Traffic Calming (Speed Humps)-Boston Avenue", dated June 13, 2022 from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.
