Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Euclid Avenue, between Barton Avenue and London Street.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway on Euclid Avenue, between Barton Avenue and London Street, to install three speed humps, generally as shown on the copy of 'Drawing No. 421G-4028' dated May 2022 from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, attached to the letter (May 26, 2022) from Councillor Mike Layton, Ward 11, University-Rosedale.

Summary
In 2020, residents submitted a petition to my office requesting speed humps along Euclid Avenue between Barton Avenue and London Street.
Residents have observed an increase in local traffic and speeds. The installation of speed humps may assist in mitigating some of the cut-through traffic and make safer conditions for local vulnerable road users, including seniors and children who play, walk and cycle the street.
