2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway on Castle Frank Road, between Drumsnab Road and Dale Avenue, to install one speed hump, generally as shown on the copy of 'Drawing No. 421G-4027' dated May 2022 from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, attached to the letter (May 26, 2022) from Councillor Mike Layton, Ward 11, University - Rosedale.
Origin
Summary
Residents on Castle Frank Road in my ward brought forward concerns regarding the speed at which cars travel on Castle Frank Road coming off of the ramp from the Don Valley Parkway as well as the concern regarding the volume of vehicles cutting through the South Rosedale residential area to avoid Bloor St E.
A petition was submitted to my office in May 2020 requesting the installation of speed humps to slow down drivers and to mitigate the volume of vehicular entry into the area by drivers seeking a cut-through.
