Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Delaware Avenue, between Dupont Street and Hallam Street.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway on Delaware Avenue, between Dupont Street and Hallam Street, to install three speed humps, generally as shown on the copy of 'Drawing No. 421G-4051' dated May 2022 from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, attached to the letter (May 26, 2022) from Councillor Ana Bailão, Ward 9, Davenport.

Summary
In June 2021, residents reached out to my office with an urgent concern about speeding
along their street and requested via an online survey that traffic calming measures (speed
humps) be installed as a method of addressing these concerns. Of those that responded,
86% were in support of making this change.
I am requesting that speed humps be installed on Delaware Avenue from Dupont Street to
Hallam Street.
