The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1.  Requested the General Manager, Transportation Services, amend Schedule B of the City of Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 925, Permit Parking, to exclude the development located at 2112-2114 Yonge Street from permit parking on Hillsdale Avenue West.

I am writing to respectfully request that the development at 2112-2114 Yonge Street be excluded from the permit parking program, specifically from neighbouring Hillsdale Avenue West.  This exclusion would ensure that current permit holders have sufficient parking space, as the issuance of parking permits following this development would negatively impact the already limited supply of parking spaces on Hillsdale Avenue West.

Moreover, this action would prohibit the General Manager, Transportation Services, from accepting applications from residents of, visitors to, and tradespersons at the subject development property.  Residents have reported to my office that it is difficult to find a parking space close to home.  As such, my office has worked closely with the Oriole Park Association (OPA), the South Eglinton Davisville Residents' Association (SEDRA) and City staff in coming up with this recommendation.
