Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council: 

 

1. Rescinded the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation in effect from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on both sides of Parkdale Road, between Indian Road and Glendale Avenue (south intersection).

 

2. Authorized parking for a maximum period of one hour from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the south side of Parkdale Road, between Indian Road and Glendale Avenue (south intersection).

 

3. Authorized parking for a maximum period of one hour from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on the north side of Parkdale Road, between Indian Road and a point 160 metres east.

 

4. Prohibited parking at all times on the north side of Parkdale Road from a point 160 metres east of Indian Road to a point 24.8 metres further east.

Summary

The intersection of Parkdale Road and Glendale Avenue is located in the Sunnyside neighbourhood in Ward 4. During a neighbourhood walk with residents, it was noted that a vehicle could be park in the intersection of Parkdale Road and Glendale Avenue due to current parking regulations.

 

Transportation Staff did a review of the intersection and recommend changes to the parking regulation to improve the safety and visibility of the intersection.
