The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the west side of Huron Street, between College Street and Dupont Street.

2. Prohibited parking at all times on the west side of Huron Street, between College Street and a point 55 metres south of Bloor Street West.

3. Prohibited stopping at all times on the west side of Huron Street, between Bloor Street West and a point 15 metres south of Bloor street West.

4. Designated a passenger loading zone to operate at all times on the west side of Huron Street, between a point 15 metres south of Bloor Street West and a point 40 metres further south.

5. Prohibited parking at all time on the west side of Huron Street, between Bloor Street West and Dupont Street.

6. Prohibited stopping at all times on the east side of Huron Street, between Bloor Street West and a point 55 metres south of Bloor Street West.

7. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Mon. to Fri., except public holidays on the east side of Huron Street, between Bloor Street West and a point 49 metres north of Sussex Street.

8. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Mon. to Fri., except public holidays on the east side of Huron Street, between Russell Street and a point 25 metres north of Sussex Street.

9. Prohibited parking from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Mon. to Fri., except public holidays on the east side of Huron Street, between Ursula Franklin Street and Harbord Street.

10. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the east side of Huron Street, between a point 30 metres south of Harbord Street and a point 55 metres further south.

11. Amended the existing parking prohibition in effect at all  times on the east side of Huron Street, between Russell Street and a point 30.5 metres south to be in effect between, Ursula Franklin Street and a point 37 metres south.

12. Rescinded the maximum one-hour parking limit in effect at all times on the east side of Huron Street, between Bloor Street West and a point opposite Washington Avenue.

371 Bloor Street West is located on the south side of Bloor Street West, between Spadina Avenue and Huron Street and is owned and also occupied by the University of Toronto (U of T). The proposal from the owner is to renovate and expand the east portion of the building at Huron Street currently occupied by University of Toronto Schools (UTS) to modernize their facilities and to accommodate a new gymnasium and fitness centre, auditorium and three storeys of classroom space. The expansion represents an increase of approximately 3,400 square metres in gross floor area (GFA), and will include building on a portion of the existing public lane connecting to Washington Avenue.

As a condition of the Site Plan Agreement (Site Plan Application 18 123996 STE 20 SA), the developer is required in advance of the anticipated date of first occupancy of the project, to enact bylaws with respect to the proposed passenger pick-up/drop-off area on the west side of Huron Street, south of Bloor Street West (fronting the school) that will accommodate approximately 6 to 7 vehicles.

The intent of these parking amendment's is to not only formalize a passenger pick-up and drop-off area for the school, but to also assure that safe unobstructed two-way traffic flow is maintained on Huron Street, south of Bloor Street West, particularly during pick-up and drop-off operations.

Recommendations 7 to 12 below are considered housekeeping and are intended to ensure consistency between the by-lawed parking regulations and the signage posted in the field.
