3. Modified the Order to Comply (May 24, 2022) for 89 Reiner Road, Folder Number: 22 150458 PRS 00 IV, to include the Occupants as Charles Alter, Shawn Glenn Alter and Mark Alter.

The Property Standards Committee, North York Panel gave the following reasons for its decision:
On May 24, 2022 a Property Standards Order was issued to the late HANNAH LORETTA ALTER in connection with a property at 89 Reiner Road. The Order was appealed by one of her three sons to the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel, and a hearing was held on September 13, 2022.
The Order identified three items requiring attention with a compliance date of June 24, 2022. An appeal to the order was submitted by one of the three sons on behalf of the estate of the owner requesting additional time to complete the order due to the hospitalization of the late owner’s spouse, and for clarification details on Item #2, specifically ceiling repairs. The Property Standards Committee, North York Panel heard from the Bylaw enforcement officer, the spouse of the late owner and her three sons.
Based on the evidence heard, the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel agrees that all three of the items listed in the order are valid, and granted an extension of time. For Items #1 and #3, a sense of urgency and given the simple rectification of these items warranted an extension of two weeks. The greater complexity for completion of Item #2 warranted an extension of time of two months. Furthermore, the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel modified the name whom the order is issued to include the late owner's spouse and three sons to identify and resolve responsible persons for the completion of the order to the satisfaction of the Municipal Licensing and Standards By-law Enforcement Officer.
In order to avoid the necessity for the issuance of new Orders to Comply, the Property Standards Committee, North York Panel urges the property owners to meet with Municipal Licensing and Standards By-Law Enforcement Officer for the purpose of addressing the concerns raised by the order.
