Community Council Decision
Scarborough Community Council:
1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Cedar Drive, between Eglinton Avenue East and Dunelm Street.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway to install five speed humps on Cedar Drive, between Eglinton Avenue East and Dunelm Street, for traffic calming purposes, generally as shown on Attachment 2 and Attachment 3, dated June 2022, attached to the report (June 14, 2022) entitled "Traffic Calming - Cedar Drive" from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services.

Transportation Services has reviewed the need for traffic calming (speed humps) on Cedar Drive, between Eglinton Avenue East and Dunelm Street. The assessment indicates the warrant criteria as set out in the City of Toronto's Traffic Calming Policy has not been satisfied. Therefore, staff do not recommend the installation of speed humps on Cedar Drive.

That Scarborough Community Council delete Recommendation 1 and replace with the following:
"1. Scarborough Community Council waive the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorize the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Cedar Drive, between Eglinton Avenue East and Dunelm Street.
2. Scarborough Community Council direct the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway to install five speed humps on Cedar Drive, between Eglinton Avenue East and Dunelm Street, for traffic calming purposes, generally as shown on Attachment 2 and Attachment 3, dated June 2022, attached to the report entitled "Traffic Calming - Cedar Drive" from the Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services."
