Scarborough Community Council:

1. Granted the application for an exemption permit, by the owner(s) of 314 Jaybell Grove, to allow them to maintain the wooden fence that measures 2.54 meters (8.4ft) on the south side and 3 meters (10ft) on the east side. Directed and required that the existing fence be maintained in good repair without alteration. Directed and required that at such time as a replacement of the fence is required that such installation will comply with Municipal Code Chapter 447, Fences, or its successor by-law.

Summary

This staff report concerns a matter for which the Scarborough Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

The purpose of this report is to consider an application by the owner(s) of 314 Jaybell Grove to maintain a wooden fence in the rear yard on the south and east side of the property which measures 2.54 meters (8.4 feet) in height on the south side and 3m (10 feet) on the east side. As specified in the Toronto Municipal Code, Chapter 447-1.2(B) Table 1 – Maximum Height of Fences, the maximum height for this fence is 2.0 meters. A Notice of Violation was issued on April 8, 2022
