Point of Order by Councillor Gord Perks

Councillor Perks, on a Point of Order, stated that he had discussions with Planning staff about being asked to move motions to amend an Item without any report attached.  Councillor Perks further stated that he has pushed back on these types of requests as in order for Members of Council to know what amendments have been written, prepared and endorsed by staff, Council should always have a supplementary report or some document saying that staff are recommending it so that Members do not find themselves in a situation where they are saying it is a technical amendment but have no evidence of it.
