The Board of Health:

 

1.  Directed that Confidential Attachments 1 and 2 remain confidential in their entirety, as they pertain to the education or training of the Directors.

The Board of Health recessed its public session to meet in closed session to consider this Item, as it pertains to the education or training of the Directors.

Summary

Members of Grandmother's Voice, a body of unified Indigenous people who are creating a safe, secure community that advances education, knowledge, and understanding of Indigenous cultures and practices, will provide a three-hour training session on Indigenous Cultural Safety. The purpose of the training is to build the Board's capacity to work towards the goals of respectfully advancing Indigenous peoples' health outcomes and reconciliation, further to the Board's decision on Item 2021.HL30.2, Advancing the Implementation of the Toronto Indigenous Health Strategy at Toronto Public Health, on September 27, 2021 in support of the implementation of the Toronto Indigenous Health Strategy.

 

The Board of Health will meet in closed session on this item in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006 which permits the closing of a meeting for the education or training of the Directors.
