Board Decision
The Film, Television and Digital Media Advisory Board recommends that:
1. The Economic and Community Development Committee request the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, and the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Management, in consultation with the Chair and the Co-Chair of the Film, Television and Digital Media Board and the Directors Guild of Canada, report to June 6, 2022 meeting of the Toronto Film, Television and Digital Media Board on any changes necessary to existing contracts for filming on city sites that would facilitate easier access and expedite the process; such report to include the list of current city properties that are being used for film purposes as well as those that have been requested but not currently permitted.

The Film Commissioner and Director; the Program Manager, Film Sector Development; and the Manager, Permitting, Film and Entertainment provided verbal updates.
Summary
The Economic Development and Culture staff will provide updates on film permit fees adoption and implementation timelines, Power Drops implementation, Workforce Development programs update and recent film production volumes.
