The Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. Received the presentation by Lemonade for Love for information.

Representatives from Lemonade for Love gave a presentation to the Members of the Etobicoke York Community Council.

Lemonade for Love is an annual, child-driven, parent-supported lemonade stand and fundraising event in Etobicoke that is all about #kidshelpingkids. It began in 2014 as a small lemonade stand on a front yard in Etobicoke and is now a well-attended community event that happens each June at Fairfield Park. This event is championed by youth ambassadors who represent the organization in the community. 

To date, and with the help of community sponsors and donations, Lemonade for Love has raised over $100,000.00 in support of Silver Creek Preschool for children with special needs. Money raised goes to the #CaptainXavierFund at Silver Creek which provides scholarships to help families send their children to the school. Their fundraising efforts are now expanding the fund’s mandate to include offering support to families at Silver Creek who may need assistance with the cost of medical devices, equipment, and/or aids.

I have invited the kids from Lemonade for Love to give a presentation to Etobicoke York Community Council on this year's event, taking place Saturday, June 25, 2022 from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at Fairfield Park, 90 Lothian Avenue.
