The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Requested the General Manager, Transportation Services and the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Management to undertake as a priority to complete the offer to purchase for the relevant portion of the public lane at 375 Queen Street West, and to report to Toronto and East York Community Council on the closing of the public lane at its January 6, 2022 meeting with recommendations.

The development located at 375 Queen Street West requires a strata portion of the public lane at the rear of the development as a condition of their development approval. The construction is currently in progress, and the sale of the lane needs to be expedited to avoid unnecessary delays that prolong the local disruption caused by construction activity.

The strata portion of the public lane at the rear of 375 Queen St West has not been declared surplus. The Deputy City Manager, Corporate Services needs to amend an offer to purchase. Following that, there will be an a Public Lane Closing Report and By-law going to Community Council.
