Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect on the north side of Fulton Avenue, between Broadview Avenue and Jackman Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, during the months of May, July, September and November.

2. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect on the south side of Fulton Avenue, between Broadview Avenue and Jackman Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, during the months of January, February, March, April, June, August, October and December.

3. Amended the existing permit parking regulation in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., at all times during the months of February, April, June, August, October and December on the even (north) side of Fulton Avenue, from Broadview Avenue to Jackman Avenue, to be in effect at all times.

4. Amended the existing permit parking regulation in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., at all times during the months of January, March, May, July, September and November on the odd (south) side of Fulton Avenue, from Broadview Avenue to Jackman Avenue, to be in effect at all times.

Summary

Fulton Avenue between Broadview Avenue and Jackman Avenue is a residential street with existing permit parking. Residents of this section of Fulton Avenue contacted my office requesting that permit parking be changed to implement double-sided parking. My office has polled the residents of Fulton Avenue between Broadview Avenue and Jackman Avenue and 70% of residents support the installation of double sided parking.
