Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Amended the existing parking prohibition in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, except public holidays, on the east side of Redpath Avenue, between a point 56.5 metres north of Soudan Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East, to be in effect, between a point 56.5 metres north of Soudan Avenue and a point 53.8 metres south of Eglinton Avenue East.
2. Prohibited parking at all times, on the east side of Redpath Avenue, between Eglinton Avenue East and a point 53.8 metres south of Eglinton Avenue East.

Summary
I am writing to request your support in prohibiting parking on Redpath Avenue, south of Eglinton Avenue East, in the area directly fronting the condominium building at 125 Redpath Avenue. I understand this section of the street is a fire route. As such, fire trucks and other emergency vehicles should have easy access, and not be impeded by parked vehicles in the event of emergencies. The Condo Board and several residents contacted my office to request this prohibition in the interest of safety. This prohibition still allows for accessible loading, drop-offs, pick-ups, and deliveries.
