Summary

Residents reached out to my office in October 2019 with an urgent concern about speeding near General Mercer Public School after a child was hit while crossing the street at Turnberry Avenue and Old Weston Road. After hearing the various concerns and solutions put forward by residents, which were endorsed by the school, along with input from Traffic Operations it was proposed that traffic calming measures (speed humps) be installed as a method of improving school zone and general community safety.

I am requesting that speed humps be installed on Turnberry Avenue from Old Weston Road to Silverthorn Avenue.
